Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) at PulsePoint Health & Wellness is designed for men experiencing symptoms associated with low testosterone. Through a personalized evaluation, laboratory testing, and ongoing monitoring, we assess your individual needs and determine whether testosterone therapy may be appropriate for you.
Understanding Low Testosterone
Testosterone levels naturally change with age, but consistently low levels may be associated with symptoms such as:
- Low energy or persistent fatigue
- Decreased libido
- Changes in mood
- Reduced muscle mass or strength
- Difficulty maintaining physical performance
- Changes in overall sense of well-being
A thorough evaluation is important because these symptoms can have multiple possible causes. Your provider will review your medical history, symptoms, and laboratory results before determining whether TRT is appropriate.
Testosterone Replacement Therapy
When clinically appropriate, testosterone replacement therapy may help restore testosterone levels to an appropriate range and address symptoms associated with testosterone deficiency.
Treatment options may include testosterone injections or topical testosterone preparations, depending on your individual needs, medical history, treatment goals, and provider recommendations.
Your treatment plan is personalized to you. Your provider will discuss the appropriate medication, dosage, and method of administration based on your evaluation.
Before Treatment
Laboratory testing may be required before testosterone therapy can be prescribed. A lab order will be provided for testing through an outside laboratory such as Labcorp or Quest, when appropriate.
Prescriptions are provided only after your provider has reviewed your medical history, consultation, and required laboratory results and determined that treatment is appropriate.
Ongoing Monitoring
Testosterone therapy requires ongoing medical supervision. Follow-up appointments and laboratory testing may be recommended to evaluate your response to treatment, monitor testosterone levels, and determine whether adjustments to your treatment plan are appropriate.
When continued treatment or a refill is needed, please schedule a follow-up visit with your provider.
